Sarah is an artist and art educator who is currently obsessed with exploring the visual and physical structures inherent to textile construction and what happens when generative digital processes and handmade materiality intersect.

Originally from Michigan, she earned an MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art in 2008 and afterwards spent many years as a faculty member at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, MI. While teaching in the Metro Detroit area, she also served as a managing member of OmniCorpDetroit; a collectively run hacker / maker / community space that is still operational in the city's Eastern Market neighborhood.

Sarah is currently based in Cambridge, MA and serves as a faculty member teaching Graphic Design, Foundations and Interdisciplinary courses at Montserrat College of Art in Beverly, MA. Her work is frequently featured online as well as in brick-and-mortar galleries across the United States; most recently you can find her illustrations profiled in Alchemy: The Art and Craft of Illustration, published by Gingko Press.
