Polygon Play (interactive wall installation and workshop), cut vinyl, beginning dimensions 72 x 60". 2016

An interactive wall installation designed using the library of polygons compiled from my ReDress project. The piece was installed at Industry Lab in Cambridge, MA during my Fall 2016 artist residency. The workshop statement reads: The shapes on the adjoining walls are made using removable vinyl and are here for you to play with! Combine and re-combine them into your own constructions; they are meant to be stuck, un-stuck and re-configured, like a giant tangram puzzle. The project I'm working on at Industry Lab this fall involves combining pieces from this library of polygons in unconventional ways to produce potentially wearable garments. I'm using this installation as a way of doing some informal research and am very interested in seeing the various ways you all will be configuring this library of shapes.
