Polygon Play
installation and workshop, Industry Lab, 2016
An interactive wall installation designed using the library of polygons compiled from my ReDress project. The piece was installed at Industry Lab in Cambridge, MA during my Fall 2016 artist residency.
The workshop asked participants to combine and re-combine the shapes provided into their own speculative garment pattern constructions; the vinyl pieces were meant to be stuck, un-stuck and re-configured, like a giant tangram puzzle. As a part of my artist residency, I was interested in seeing the various ways participants would choose to configure the same library of shapes I had programmed my computer to configure at random.
